Bella stood at the door to the Cullen’s house, Nessie and I standing in front of her. Bella and the Cullens were off for a gathering with a group of other vampires for the holiday. I didn’t even know vampires had holidays. I bet it was some kind of day to remember everyone they’ve killed so far or something like that. Or they could be having Thanksgiving, except with humans and only a few animals.
“So you two promise to keep the house in one piece, right?” Bella asked, her voice piercing my thoughts.
“Jacob and I are very responsible, Mom.” Nessie reassured
